If the light does not come on during starting, stays on, or comes on while driving, have the airbag system checked immediately.  There may be a possible damage or short in your airbag system and could result in airbags not deploying upon collision. 

If the light stays on after ignition, it means there is a problem with the charging system or the vehicle's alternator. Your car's battery may need to be replaced. You may also want to check the negative and positive copper anchors, they may be rusted and may need to be cleaned up.

This light monitors the Anti-Lock Brake System. This system prevents wheels from locking up on you as you brake in slippery conditions. Get your tires checked immediately if the light does not go away. 

This lights monitors emissions, engine, and automatic transmission control systems. If the light remains after ignition,  get service. Make sure to get your vehicle scanned and checked immediately as this light indicates a fault in your powertrain system.
